I think the Adirondack area is one of the most unique places in the continental United States. Not only is it the largest park in the lower forty eight but it is also the only park in which individuals are allowed to reside within the park boundaries. This makes for a unique situation and one which I think will enhance your visit to the area. There is nothing quite like staying in an Adirondack camp, cottage or home. I moved to this area five years ago after being a visitor for some thirty years. In that time I stayed at inns, hotels, motels and private rentals. I have to say I enjoyed the private rentals the most. As a past visitor I also understand your concerns in finding just the right place to meet your needs and expectations.
